We were incredibly proud to continue our support of the Nansledan Arts Festival (NAF) this year, returning as a joint sponsor alongside a West Country housebuilder and a Cornish accountancy firm.
Following the success of the inaugural festival in 2024, this year’s event once again celebrated community, creativity and local talent in the heart of Nansledan – the Duchy of Cornwall’s new
suburb of Newquay. With 850 homes already delivered and a long-term vision for 4,000 by 2050, Nansledan continues to grow not just in size, but in spirit.
Held from 7–15 June 2025, this year’s festival attracted more than 650 visitors and featured an Art Trail with 30 artists exhibiting over 90 pieces of work. The popular Faces of Nansledan portrait exhibition, in collaboration with Hugh Hastings, was displayed in the community centre, where several artworks were also sold. A range of free workshops, including a street art workshop and sessions at Nansledan School, helped give new and emerging artists a platform.
The event also included a Sunday craft fair, live music raising £640 for Cornwall Mind, and a sell-out comedy night featuring five Cornish comedians.
Nicola, one of the festival organisers, shared her gratitude with us: “We couldn’t have done it without your support – thank you for helping make this year’s festival such a success.”
Eugene Rapson, Morrish Homes’ Joint Managing Director, commented: “We believe placemaking goes far beyond bricks and mortar. The Nansledan Arts Festival is a brilliant example of how creative expression can bring people together and strengthen community ties. We were proud to sponsor the event again this year and thank all those who made it such a success.”
Morrish Homes remains committed to supporting community-led initiatives that make a lasting difference.
