Situated in the beautiful Dorset parish of Lytchett Matravers, our upcoming development, Huntick Green, is launching soon and will feature 2, 3, and 4 bedroom family homes. Future residents of Huntick Green will have access to a stunning array of both natural and urban places to explore, all within easy driving distance of their new home – Poole is but one of these options, offering extensive retail opportunities in the urban centre as well as being essentially encircled by picture-perfect areas of natural beauty.

Whether you are a parent to young children who want an entertaining day out, or a keen dog walker who loves rolling rural landscapes and brisk coastal strolls, in Poole there's more than enough to keep you occupied – and more.

Poole Harbour

One of many harbours to lay claim to the title of ‘2nd largest natural harbour in the world', what we can say for certain is that Poole Harbour is truly extensive, and benefits from beautiful scenery, sandy white beaches, and tasty bites to eat.

Two of the more well-known landmarks that are situated in and around Poole Harbour are Sandbanks Peninsula and beach, and Brownsea Island. Both areas are steeped in history, with Sandbanks having emerged from being a ‘remote and desolate headland' in the mid 1800s, to a highly exclusive real-estate opportunity and arguably the best beach in the UK in the present day.

The peninsula exists only as a result of coastal erosion along the south coast but is now packed with multi-million-pound homes with famous faces to boot – however, the average resident or tourist won't stray too far from the beach, which is renowned for its sparkling white sand, panoramic views, and calm waters – ideal for swimming and water sport activities.

Brownsea Island is famous for its close association to the Boy Scouts, as the movement was founded by Lord Baden-Powell with a camping event on the island in 1907. Today you can find a stunning nature reserve, home to a wide range of wildlife from red squirrels to kingfishers and herons. Families can spend a night under the stars at the campsite, and get a taste of the original scout experience.

Tower Park

The biggest retail offering in Poole, Tower Park is situated to the north of the area, and hosts an eclectic range of entertainment options including bowling, cinema, and soft-play. You'll also find numerous fast-food options, with the likes of Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut and Nandos.

Those with young children to entertain will have no problem finding fun for all the family, while it makes a great weekend option for all ages.

Poole Quay

Poole Quay is a fantastic day out for all ages, hosting an impressive array of retail, entertainment, and culinary options. You'll find the marina with its incredible range of Sunseeker boats and yachts, while locals love to engage in crabbing along the quayside walls.

A number of highly rated restaurants and pubs line the seafront, including the Guildhall, which is on the Michelin guide and champions locally caught seafood. People often congregate down here for seasonal events, such as the well-known Bonfire Night fireworks display, that attracts people from all over the Dorset area.

Farmer Palmers

A fantastic park full of adorable farm animals where you can meet and feed goats, cuddle guinea pigs, take tractor-trailer rides and explore woodland walks. A wonderful day out the whole family will enjoy, Christmas at Farmer Palmers is also a magical experience for many reasons and in the enchanted barn you will be able to meet ‘Farmer Christmas'. Farmer Palmers is a family-fun adventure with endless activities to entertain your little ones!

Poole Speedway

Poole Pirates are an award-winning speedway team based on Wimborne Road in Poole, with a golden history of winning trophies at all levels within British Speedway. A night out at the Speedway guarantees excitement, you can witness big names in British Speedway competing most Wednesday nights throughout the spring and summer months.
