History

Since the early fifties, the Morrish family have shared a passion for crafting exceptional homes and creating distinctive street scenes enjoyed by many. Morrish Homes has earnt its outstanding reputation through decades of development across the South.

1982

Les Morrish formed Morrish Builders with sons Steven and David Morrish, who were already operating their own successful house building company.Morrish Builders built homes across various sites in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire and developed a large commercial property portfolio, including property in Spain.

1990

The Company’s "heritage homes" brand was introduced to reflect its focus on building homes which reflect the village vernacular, utilising local craftsman and sustainable materials.

1999

The company’s "heritage homes" track record led to it becoming involved in the Duchy of Cornwall’s Poundbury development, reflecting HRH Prince of Wales’ pioneering vision to create a traditional, mixed use, sustainable development with a strong sense of community.

2012

Morrish Builders’ ability to work with partners to deliver sustainable development to an exceptionally high standard led to it becoming involved in further legacy developments including the Duchy’s Newquay Growth Area, with Tregunnel Hill being the first development.

2016

Tregunnel Hill's 74 homes were completed and the development was commended in the 2016 Sunday Times British Property Awards.

2017

Morrish Builders launched their first homes at Nansledan, a 540-acre extension to Newquay based on the same principles as Tregunnel Hill.

2018

The Company continues releasing new home at Poundbury and at Nansledan. Tregunnel Hill wins both UK Property and CNU awards. Morrish grows its team of professionals to include a Finance Director and Associate Director, Construction and commences work on new developments: Luzborough Green, the first stage of the Romsey legacy development, Westhill View, in Upwey and Oakwood in Chard. All developments will continue to employ local craftsman and sustainable materials.
