The Morrish Homes Guide to Buying Schemes
We explain two buying schemes that could make the process of buying a new home easier and more affordable.
The government’s Help to Buy scheme is designed to help first-time buyers purchase a newly built home, subject to certain price caps. Under the scheme, buyers can purchase their new home with just a 5% deposit (subject to terms and conditions).
The Help to Buy interest-free* loan adds a further 20% to your deposit, and then a Help to Buy mortgage will cover the remaining 75% of the property cost. The scheme is subject to regional price limits, set at 1.5 times the average first-time buyer price in each region in England. This means that to be eligible for the loan, homes have to be below the set maximum price in their area. In the South West, this is set at £349,000.
We are an approved Help to Buy provider, meaning you could purchase a stunning new Morrish home with as little as a 5% deposit. Please note, the Help to Buy scheme is available to first-time buyers only.
If you are already a homeowner, our Move Assist scheme is a one-stop-shop solution that makes the buying and selling process easier.
Once you’ve chosen your completed Morrish home, our friendly experts will assess the suitability of your current home for the scheme. If your property qualifies, you can pay a reservation fee** to take your chosen Morrish home off the market for a given period.
Our agents will work to sell your home within the set time frame. Once you have a buyer, the legal process can begin. By helping to sell your property, we can get you moved into your new home within a much shorter time frame.
Looking for your dream new build home? Morrish Homes has a variety of stunning properties for sale on our most prestigious developments across the South, including Oakwood in Somerset and Nansledan in Cornwall.
